OFFERINGSI offer meditation retreats, mindfulness classes, and Dharma teachings rooted in Vipassana (Insight Meditation) practice, grounded in the Four Noble Truths, the Noble Eightfold Path, and the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, as well as one-on-one practice support. I also offer secular mindfulness training, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). All offerings are trauma-informed and shaped by Buddhist, Black feminist, queer, and survivor lineages.
Through my Dharma and mindfulness teaching, I offer meditation retreats, daylongs, multi-week courses, and classes, available in person, online, and in hybrid formats. I also participate in and offer talks, workshops, and events beyond Dharma spaces, including cultural, educational, and community-based gatherings.
The calendar includes meditation retreats, mindfulness courses, Dharma teachings, and selected talks, workshops, and public events.
For more than three decades, my cultural work, writing, and public scholarship, including my film NO! The Rape Documentary and my anthology love WITH accountability: Digging Up the Roots of Child Sexual Abuse, have been devoted to survivor-centered and informed healing justice. I am available for keynote talks, workshops, presentations, and speaking engagements for universities, nonprofits, and organizations, including on sexual violence, survivor-centered healing, and accountability, integrating this work with more than two decades of mindfulness and contemplative practice.
Upcoming meditation retreats, mindfulness courses, Dharma teachings, and selected public events are listed on the calendar and updated regularly. Additional projects and updates can be found at linktr.ee/afrolez.
